Body blushing and collateral damage

As I haven't made much headway with other projects (e.g. photostories, writing) I decided to take Dürrenmatt with me this week and, if the time allowed, treat him to a body blushing. He's one of the few dolls that hadn't gotten one, yet, mainly because with his 46cm he is huge. I decided to also wire him to improve his posing ability which isn't that great. He looks best when leaning against a wall, looking cool and lofty. I like the Angel of Dream body he is on, because it gives him hight and I've always seen Dürrenmatt as the muscular type. But there is much that could be improved.

The weather hasn't been great lately and unfortunately the sealant decided to be uncooperative. There are a few little splotches but nothing that bothers me enough to completely re-do him. When I put him back together and wired him, I must have pulled to hard at some point of time, because the wristpart of one arm suddenly snapped clean through. Needless to say, I was annoyed. I've already contacted AoD and hope I can get a replacement.

As there are only so many poses a naked guy can pull off looking dignified (and as I wanted to try out the wiring), I give you Dürrenmatt in Auguste Rodin's Thinker pose.

Bonus picture - If Dürrenmatt was on Facebook, this would most likely be his profile picture:

From my Workbench

I had some time today so I finally went ahead and fitted Dürrenmatt's headback using my dremel. On the left you can see the before pictures, on the right there are the after pictures.

I considered making the neck shorter as well but then decided that it would be much smarter to just make the headback shorter. Duh! It's hard to tell from the pictures but the head now sits lower as well, so his neck doesn't seem as long anymore.

While I was at it, I decided to also finally take some resin comparison pictures. Dürrenmatt is a modded Unoa B-el madoromi on an Angel of Dream MT boy body version 2 in normal yellow.

I love the proportions, the body poses pretty well (except for kneeling ;) - see below) and the resin match is actually quite good. He needs a body blushing tho, but that's for another weekend.
After showing him half-naked, I thought he deserved a nice picture as well. This is him with his new Spite and Malice wig:

I call that his "I could work as a model" pose. He really is the prototype of a person who gets by solely on his good looks. ^^
